Just to let you know . . . Will focus on 1 or 2 of the experiences that will happen during our HISTORIC MISSION. We hope you will pass this information on to potential delegates (congregants) so that they may feel the excitement building towards June 29th.

To start, “just to let you know,” the venerated TV, pop, movie and classical composer, Charles Fox, will be setting the prayer that the late Pope John Paul II gave at the Kotel in the year 2000 to music in Hebrew, English and Polish. It will be set for orchestra, children’s chorus, adult choir, and narrator. This work will be the opening of the concert at the National Opera House in Warsaw; wuthe National Opera Orchestra, Chorus, and Children’s Chorus. In addition to such songs as “Killing Me Softly”, “Happy Days,” “Ready To Take A Chance Again,” the themes for “Laverne and Shirley,” “Love Boat,” “Love American Style”, his orchestral writing produced the internationally acclaimed ballet “A Song for Dead Warriors.” This work was commissioned and premiered by the San Francisco Ballet. It was aired on PBS as part of the Ballet of America series and later performed by the Dance Theatre of Harlem at Lincoln Center in New York City and at Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

Charles Fox began his musical training on the piano as a child. He is a graduate of the High School of Music and Art in Manhattan. Upon his graduation from high school, the young composer went to Paris where he studied with Nadia Boulanger.

We are honored that Charlie has offered to do this commission and we are now seeking Vatican approval to set the Pope’s words to music . . . just to let you know.
