Here is a partial listing of some of the events that we and our congregants will experience on the 2009 mission.

June 29, 2009 - arrival and evening chazzzanic Maariv and shira B'tzibbur

June 30, 2009 - morning program at the sight of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Evening Concert at the National Opera House sponsored by the Office of the Prime Minister of Poland. Opera Orchestra, Chorus (90 voices), children's chorus and our voices joining together in a concert of "Friendship, Brotherhood and Unity." We are commissioning a well-known Polish composer to set the words of John Paul II at the Kotel in 2000. These words of conciliation will be sung in Hebrew, Polish and English to the video of the Pope approaching the Kotel. We will musically respond with the words of Rabbi Michael Melchior as he quoted Isaiah with Havieinu el har kodshecha, Bring them to My Holy Mountain......and it shall be a House of Prayer for all Nations, set by Max Helfman, a Polish Jew. We will all respond with the "Hinei Mah tov" from the Chichester Psalms composed by Leonard Bernstein. The concert will continue...

July 1, 2009 - Israeli Ambassador and Polish Minister (Foreign Office) will talk about the close relationship of these two allies. Travel to Krakow, be a part of the largest Jewish music festival in the world.

July 2, 2009 - Special Program at Aushwitz-Birkenau. That night in Krakow, "A Concert of Remembrance and Healing."

July 3, 2009 - Jewish sites in Krakow. Erev Shabbat service, Kabbalat Shabbat in "Hassidic style" where Hassidism was born, Maariv in the style of the great Hazzanic traditions of pre-war Poland.

July 4, 2009 - Shabbat Morning Services in the style of the "Great Synagogue" of Warsaw in the 1930's. Shabbat Afternoon - Dramatic Readings of Shalom Aleichem and I. L. Peretz. Saturday night - Join the largest Jewish Music Festival in the world for its premiere concert!

July 5, 2009 - Sunday - Touring in and around Krakow - Concert celebrating American Independence Day as the voices of the Cantors Assembly presents a concert in the American musical tradition. (Musical Theater, Yiddish Theater, American Songbook - by Jewish composers)

July 6, 2009 - Monday - Israel - Tel Aviv/Opening Ceremony - Israeli Barbeque in Hayarkon Park in a Shira B'tzibur (Israeli Music Sing-A-Long) (Surprise Israeli Guest Artists)

July 7, 2009 - Tuesday - Choose your track - Meet in the evening for a concert at an Israeli Air Force Base.

July 8, 2009 - Wednesday - On track - Concert at Masada in the cooling breezes of night time.

July 9, 2009 - Thursday - Touring in and around Jerusalem.

July 10, 2009 - Friday - Yad Vashem - A Special Musical Memorial Program - prepare for Shabbat. Shabbat at the southern steps of the Temple Mount with all of our combined voices greeting the Sabbath Queen in our ancestral homeland.

July 11, 2009 - Shabbat - Shabbat Service overlooking the ancient city in the style of the 21st century American Synagogue. Close Shabbat with Havdalah and Melavah Malkah

July 12, 2009 -Sunday - A moving closing ceremony to conclude our formal mission.
