D: CA CONVENTION 2026 BRIT: Standards of Community Behavior

We take seriously the spirit of Derech Eretz that defines our wonderful organization. Our care and respect for one another help us maintain a sacred and safe space wherever we gather. We have put forth the following standards in order to maintain the highest level of professionalism throughout every time we gather together as an organization, beginning with our convention in May. Per our CA Code of Conduct, as spiritual leaders, our behavior at all times must be beyond reproach. By agreeing to this brit, you agree to your role in creating a welcoming and harassment-free environment for all participants, including registrants, staff, speakers, vendors, and volunteers.

We expect attendees to:

  • Recognize our responsibility -- for ourselves and to those around us.
  • Respect ourselves and others -- others' perspectives and personal space.
  • Accept accountability for our actions and the consequences, both positive and negative, of our behavior.
  • Be supportive, understanding, open-minded, and appreciative of our colleagues and the diversity of opinions and talents that they bring. We all belong here.

The following behaviors do not belong at a CA gathering:

Any behavior that otherwise violates our Cantors Assembly Code of Ethics, including bullying, bigotry, harassment of any kind, abuse of power, sexual innuendo, disruptive conduct, and actual or implied retaliation against a person who experiences any of these behaviors.
I understand and agree to this Brit.
