Israeli popular music is the heartbeat of Israeli culture, tracking its politics, concerns, arguments, joys and woes. The course continues with a survey of the music of each decade of Israeli music with a COVID-19 finale about how Israeli popular music informs and reveals who Israelis are, what they care about and how they express themselves in the public square. Hazzan David Lipp, Immediate Past President of the CA, is our masterful guide on this fascinating musical journey.
