Not going to Italy?

Disappointed that there’s no convention?

Afraid that you won’t get to see your CA friends this year?

It’s time to lay that fear to rest. While it’s true that we forego our annual convention during mission years, we are keenly aware of the need to provide ample opportunities for robust learning and fellowship among our members.

And that’s what the CA Spring Conclave is all about.

CA Spring Conclave

This year, in addition to our Annual and EC meetings, which we understand are not among the most exciting reasons you would choose to visit NYC this spring, our conclave team has created a dynamic day of learning centered around one of the prime challenges we face as clergy: how do we, as human beings and as clergy, maintain our own equanimity and continue to function as agents of healing in a highly polarized and increasingly chaotic world? We’ve partnered with the Institute for Jewish Spirituality to explore this question in a deep and meaningful way.

We’ll meet together, daven together, learn together, sing together, be mindful together and even eat and shmooze together, which, let’s face it, is why most people go to convention anyhow. After a day of meetings on Monday at Park Avenue Synagogue--which all CA members are welcome to attend--we’ll hold an Awards dinner at Abigael’s, one of NYC’s finest Kosher restaurants. Then, on Tuesday, we’ll reconvene at JTS for a Yom Iyun that will include a live SongSwap and SLBC-style closing session.

This will be learning you won’t want to miss. Please see below for details.

Hope to see you in NYC!
